Ad-Aware
This is a spyware removal utility that scans your memory, registry and hard drives for known spyware components and lets you remove them. Options such as scanning depth and automatic modes can be set in the preferences menu. It features a wizard-style interface that will guide you through the scanning and removal process.
It also includes backup and restore functionality, excluding of selected components, multilingual support and shell integration.
Spybot - Search and Destroy 1.3
This program detects and removes different kinds of spyware from your computer. If you see new toolbars in Internet Explorer that you didn’t install, or you experience other problems, you may have spyware. This program prevents marketing companies from gathering information about your Web surfing and purchasing habits, and selling it to advertisers.
